Monthly Emergency Lighting Tests:

Purpose: Ensure the lights turn on and illuminate correctly during a simulated power outage.

Method: A short functional test, often called a "flick test," is performed, simulating a power failure.

Frequency: At least once a month.

Record Keeping: A log of these tests, including any faults, should be kept.

This allows for prompt dispatch of an engineer to address any problems identified.
